Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a driven blue-collar Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead and expand our Mechanical Trades desk, working with established clients while building a strong pipeline of skilled mechanical trades professionals across Western Australia.

About the Role

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process across a portfolio of blue-collar and mechanical trades roles, primarily within the mining and resources industry. Working closely with clients, site-based hiring managers and candidates, you will identify, engage and secure high-calibre trades talent while delivering an exceptional recruitment experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on candidate sourcing across the trades market, building strong networks within blue-collar industries, and thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where strong relationships and delivery focus are key

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job briefing through to placement.
  • Source and engage high-quality candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Talent Search, internal databases and networking.
  • Conduct candidate interviews and assess technical capability, experience and cultural fit.
  • Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines across key industries and disciplines.
  • Build lasting relationships with candidates and provide an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Partner with clients and hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and provide recruitment advice.
  • Prepare candidate profiles, coordinate interviews, negotiate offers and manage onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate records within the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Monitor recruitment activity and provide regular reporting on pipeline and hiring metrics.
  • Represent Brunel at networking events, industry functions and careers expos where required.

About You

  • Previous experience in agency recruitment or talent acquisition.
  • Previous experience recruiting skilled trades for Mining and/or Energy
  • Experience managing multiple vacancies simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sourcing and headhunting capability using a wide range of recruitment platforms.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
  • A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach to recruitment.
