Our Founder

Jordan has more than a decade of experience across construction, civil infrastructure and tunnelling projects in Australia and the UK.

He has worked on the ground as a labourer, plant operator and heavy lift supervisor, building highway bridges, tunnelling for metro transport upgrades and on nuclear power projects. He understands the reality of finishing one project without knowing where the next opportunity is coming from, searching through irrelevant job adverts and relying on industry contacts to find out who is hiring.

That experience is what led him to build Construction Jobs Australia.

How it started

Construction Jobs Australia began with a small number of Facebook groups created to connect construction workers with genuine job opportunities.

There was no major launch or outside investment. The network grew organically as workers joined, shared opportunities and recommended the groups to others in the industry.

Those early communities showed there was a clear need for a more focused platform - one built specifically for construction, civil and mining rather than trying to cover every industry.

Building the network

What started with Facebook groups has developed into a specialist job board and wider industry network covering every Australian state and territory.

Today, Construction Jobs Australia connects a combined audience of over 300,000 across its Facebook groups and pages, job board, WhatsApp channels, email audience and LinkedIn network.

From January to September 2026, CJA’s Facebook network generated more than nine million views.

Construction Jobs Australia was also named Best Industry Workforce Network & Candidate Sourcing Platform 2026 – Australia in the BUILD Construction & Engineering Awards.

CJA has also been shortlisted twice at the international DJAx Awards, organised by the Job Boards Connect industry community. It was named a finalist for Best Social Media Presence to Fill Job Postings in both 2024 and 2026.

Jordan also writes and edits the Construction Hiring Brief, covering major projects, workforce trends and hiring developments across Australia’s construction, civil and mining sectors.

More than another job board

Construction Jobs Australia was built to offer more than a place for companies to upload job adverts.

The platform combines a specialist job board with targeted social media distribution, candidate sourcing and an established industry audience. This gives employers and recruiters another way to reach relevant workers while helping jobseekers find opportunities suited to their experience.

CJA also supports jobseekers beyond the initial job search by providing practical career guides, industry news and information to help them understand opportunities, improve their applications and make more informed decisions throughout their employment journey.

The focus remains firmly on construction, civil infrastructure, mining and the industries that support them.

What comes next

Construction Jobs Australia continues to develop new partnerships, job distribution systems and candidate-sourcing services that make it easier for employers to reach the right people.
