ABOUT THE ROLE

The Talent Acquisition Consultant plays a key role in attracting, engaging and securing high-quality talent across Stanley College’s Higher Education, Vocational Education and corporate portfolios. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys building strong relationships, partnering with leaders and delivering a positive and professional candidate experience. Working closely with Faculty Managers, Academic Registrars, Deans and operational leaders, you will support a diverse range of recruitment and talent acquisition activities across our campuses in Western Australia and South Australia. From advertising and sourcing through to screening, interviewing and onboarding, you will manage end-to-end talent acquisition processes while helping Stanley College attract people who align with our values, culture and commitment to student success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including job design, advertising, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to craft accurate, engaging, and inclusive job descriptions that reflect organisational needs and attract top talent.
  • Develop talent pipelines and implement proactive sourcing strategies.
  • Generate recruitment reports

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Design and deliver onboarding programs that ensure a seamless transition for new hires and reinforce organisational culture.
  • Partner with managers to create personalised onboarding plans and monitor new hire engagement.
  • Manage performance issues during probation periods, providing guidance to managers and ensuring fair and timely resolution.
  • Continuously improve onboarding processes based on feedback and best practices.

Learning & Development

  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to build leadership and team capabilities.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend development programs to support career growth.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Act as a trusted advisor for employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all HR practices.

Others

  • Maintain and update a comprehensive set of employment contract and letter templates.
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts and official letters for employees.
  • Collaborate closely with the People & Culture Manager on assigned projects.
  • Perform any additional tasks as delegated by the People & Culture Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar capacity within the education sector.
  • Preferably experienced in the Australian VET and/or Higher Education sector, with an understanding of ASQA and TEQSA compliance requirements relevant to workforce management.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and effective recruitment methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, onboarding processes, and managing performance during the probationary period.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Employment Hero) and strong digital literacy across Microsoft 365.
