Alliance Distribution Services (ADS) is a leading book distribution company in Australia & New Zealand, providing comprehensive distribution services, and exceptional customer service to our client publishers and their bookselling customers. ADS is fully owned and operated by Hachette Australia.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator (maternity leave cover) to join our team on a full-time fixed-term contract /6 months/, based at our Tuggerah office. This role is ideal for someone who is interested in learning how stock arrives and how freight partners deliver it to customers in logistic and warehouse sector.

Responsibilities

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating freight operations from local and export deliveries as well as outbound freight management.

  • Scheduling and active management of local, import and export shipments and documentation. Updating shipping schedules, liaising with freight forwarders to arrange shipment deliveries
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation (PO’s, invoices, packing lists, etc)
  • Track Outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and escalate issues that may arise
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer and supplier enquiries related to freight and transport
  • Provide regular reports to management on status of deliveries and DIFOT
  • Provide freight quotations
  • Being the key contact for the warehouse teams, assisting with the resolution of discrepancies related to deliveries

Experience:

  • Proven experience in logistics, shipping and/or transport operations
  • Strong logistics experience managing order movements domestically and internationally
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience in coordinating 3rd party transport providers and other related suppliers

This is a fixed term role offering learning opportunity within a supportive team environment.
