Excavator Operator

About the Role

HEH Civil is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our FNQ operations. You’ll operate excavators across civil infrastructure projects, with final trim excavation ability essential. Experience operating other plant is highly desirable, and you’ll work alongside a supportive team that values safety, precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators for trenching, bulk earthworks, detailed excavation and final trim works
• Complete final trim excavation safely and accurately to project requirements
• Work around existing services, levels and site constraints with care
• Operate other plant where experienced and ticketed, including compactors, loaders, trucks and other civil plant
• Support pipe crews and general civil construction works as required
• Complete daily pre-start checks, routine maintenance checks and report any faults or hazards
• Follow site plans, levels and supervisor instructions
• Work collaboratively to meet project targets and deadlines

Requirements

• Final trim excavation ability is essential
• Construction White Card
• GPS/laser system experience
• Experience operating other plant is highly desirable
• HR licence is highly desirable
• Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic
• Current driver licence and reliable transport
