Warehouse Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee & coordinate end-to-end warehouse & operational activities for this prominent International Freight Forwarder.

You will have at least 10 years’ experience in Warehouse Operations across transport, freight forwarding, airfreight operations, compliance & team management. We need someone who can demonstrate strong leadership in fast-paced warehouse & logistics environments, preferably across food industries including cold storage & perishables, with a strong knowledge of Australian aviation & transport regulations as well as being familiar with Chain of Responsibility (COR) compliance.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, storage, security screening, load checks & dispatch functions
• Ensure efficient cargo handling across airfreight, sea freight, domestic & 3PL services by coordinating with airlines, freight terminals, shipping lines & transport providers
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity & cost efficiency including optimising warehouse layout, workflow & resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with aviation security regulations and Australian transport security requirements
• Maintain audit readiness & compliance documentation
• Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety (WHS) standards while promoting a strong safety culture
• Maintain compliance for regulated cargo and licensed facilities (including perishable & meat establishments where applicable)
• Monitor operational P&L performance including job costing, billing accuracy, margin analysis, pricing strategies & cost control initiatives as well as preparing monthly operational performance reports for Senior Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse & operations staff including conducting performance revies & training programs
• Maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders including key clients both local & overseas, customs, transport partners & global agents
