Warehouse Manager

We are seeking an experienced hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee our Warehouse in Thomastown. This is a newly created greenfield opportunity, giving the successful candidate the chance to shape the role, establish processes and systems, and make their mark as the warehouse operation continues to grow. You will be responsible for warehouse organisation, inventory management, freight coordination, team leadership, safety, and continuous improvement.

This position is full-time Monday–Friday, with the operations running between 6:00am and 6:00pm. Occasional weekend work may be required, although this is expected to be rare.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations, workflow efficiencies and organisation.
• Lead, coach and support staff while maintaining productivity and labour efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse in line with WHS/OHS requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify future upgrades to systems, equipment, layout and operations with a focus on establishing a best-practice environment.
• Monitor performance and resolve stock and operational issues.
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and inventory control.
• Coordinate freight, deliveries, installations and customer orders.
• Manage stocktakes, cycle counts, stock movements and pallet balances.
• Operate forklifts and oversee safe loading/unloading of trucks and containers.
• Work closely with other departments to support efficient supply chain operations.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ warehouse, logistics or operations management/supervisory experience.
• Experience in 3PL, CHEP/pallet management and FMCG/manufacturing.
• Experience with implementation of WMS/ERP, SAP and barcode scanning systems.
• Current Forklift Licence with strong practical experience.
• Strong inventory, stock control, receiving and dispatch experience.
• Experience with warehouse layouts, racking and workflow optimisation.
• WHS/OHS training and practical safety management experience.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a warehouse team.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused
• White Card and First Aid advantageous.
