Description

The Role

Working closely with our Account Managers and Practice Leads, you'll play a key role in identifying, engaging and attracting high-calibre ICT professionals for permanent, casual and contract opportunities across Australia. This permanent full-time, hybrid position is a newly created role in our Business Development team based in our Canberra head office.

You'll be responsible for sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK, our CRM and existing talent networks, while proactively building new relationships within the technology community. The role combines recruitment, talent mapping and pipeline development, ensuring we're always well positioned to respond quickly to client demand. You will also manage workforce utilisation ensuring our allocated resources meet customer contractual, organisational and compliance requirements.

Role responsibilities  

  • Source and engage ICT professionals across permanent, casual and contract opportunities.
  • Build talent pipelines across Cloud, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Networking, Data & AI, Architecture, Software Engineering, Project Services and other specialist technology disciplines.
  • Utilise LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK, the a23 CRM, referrals and other sourcing channels to identify suitable candidates.
  • Contribute to the management, optimisation and monitoring of workforce utilisation by aligning resource capacity with demand, proactively addressing and ensuring compliance requirements, bench time, forecast gaps, and competing project priorities to maximise productivity and customer outcomes.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to understand client requirements and sourcing priorities.
  • Managing the recruitment process from screening of candidates to assess technical capability, and communication skills to coordination of interviews and completion of reference checks.
  • Assist with customer and a23 onboarding activities.
  • Proactively build talent communities and maintain regular engagement, building strong relationships with contractors, consultants and permanent candidates.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, notes and activity within the CRM to compliance standards.
  • Prepare candidate profiles, one-page summaries and supporting documentation for client submissions.
  • Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies and talent availability across the ICT sector.


Skills And Experiences

About you

You'll be a motivated recruiter who enjoys connecting with people and uncovering talent. Whether you've worked in technology recruitment, labour hire or agency recruitment, you'll be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where quality and responsiveness are key.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or candidate sourcing.
  • Experience recruiting ICT professionals or working within technology recruitment.
  • Experience in workforce utilisation, scheduling or rostering to maximise productivity, customer outcomes and compliance.
  • Strong sourcing capability across LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK and other recruitment platforms.
  • Experience using CRM or recruitment management systems.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills alongside a proactive, organised and self-motivated approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A genuine interest in technology and the Australian ICT market.

You must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Experience recruiting into Australian Federal Government or understanding security clearances (Baseline, NV1, NV2 or PV) would also be highly regarded.

On commencing with a23, all employees and subcontractors are provided with the a23 Policy Handbook and asked to acknowledge their understanding and commitment to adhering to its policies. All employees and subcontractors are also assigned a suite of mandatory training that is required to be completed on an annual basis.
