About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of engineering projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design and analysis of structures, enhancing our reputation for quality and innovation in the engineering sector.
Role Responsibilities
- Design and analyse structural systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop effective design solutions.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate structural conditions and provide recommendations.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, calculations, and documentation for project submissions.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of engineering services.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
Role Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, or similar).
- Strong understanding of Australian building codes and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent is preferred.
