 What You Will Be Doing:

  • Structural Design & Documentation: Lead the delivery of structural designs and documentation across a range of projects, including concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures, ensuring compliance with the NCC and relevant Australian Standards
  • Wind Loading Expertise: Apply your knowledge of wind codes – experience here is a strong advantage. 
  • Technical Reporting: Produce clear, professional reports and specifications to support project delivery. 
  • Design Review & Quality Assurance: Review engineering documentation, drawings, and calculations, providing constructive feedback and technical guidance to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Project Delivery & Coordination: Manage structural engineering deliverables, coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Site Engagement: Attend site inspections, respond to RFIs, and support construction-phase queries. 
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships with clients, architects, builders, and project teams, providing professional advice and contributing to successful project delivery.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate across disciplines, work with engineers, architects, and designers to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions. 

 

About you

You’re a driven, detail-minded Structural Engineer who enjoys solving real problems with a team around you.  

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering (essential). 
  • 6 – 10 years of hands-on experience in structural design, with a strong foundation in residential and suspended concrete slab projects (essential). 
  • Solid understanding of Australian Standards and the NCC, with confidence designing in concrete, steel, timber, and masonry. 
  • Proficiency in Spacegass, Inducta, Adobe Bluebeam (highly regarded), Revit knowledge would assist. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues. 
  • Open to candidates based in Brisbane or across Queensland who are interested in working on projects across regional and metropolitan communities.
  • RPEQ registration is highly regarded, with full support available for engineers working towards their registration.
  • Must have full unrestricted working rights in Australia.
