ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join our Resources team, supporting the long-term Civil and Electrical Construction scopes from our Wangara office. Occasional travel to site will be required.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Procurement Officer will oversee the procurement of goods and services across Ertech Resources Division projects. Working closely with Project Managers and Engineers, you will identify project requirements, evaluate suppliers, negotiate agreements and ensure the timely procurement of materials and services.

The role requires strong knowledge of the equipment, materials, labour and services essential to project delivery and corporate operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead procurement across the Resources Division, developing strategies, processes and schedules aligned with project requirements, commercial objectives and business priorities.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier engagement, RFQs, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and award, ensuring timely delivery of materials, plant, subcontractors and services.
  • Drive commercial value and supplier performance through cost-saving initiatives, effective negotiations, preferred supplier management, market engagement and proactive risk management.
  • Ensure strong procurement governance and compliance, maintaining consistent processes, reporting and best practice while adhering to Ertech’s procurement procedures and Code of Conduct.

 To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline (preferred).  
  • 8+ years’ experience in the construction industry, with 5+ years in a similar procurement role.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing and contract management within an engineering or construction environment.
  • Strong experience in supplier and vendor management, including contract development, negotiation and performance management.
  • Proven ability to identify project risks and opportunities and deliver cost-saving and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of trade terms, contractual requirements and procurement processes, with experience using ERP and vendor management systems such as COINS and Gatekeeper.
  • Strong data analysis, attention to detail and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, teamwork and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearence.
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights.
