Senior Farm Hand / Operator – Wilga Farming (Nortongong Aggregation)

The Nortongong Aggregation is a substantial 15,782-hectare mixed farming enterprise located in central western New South Wales. Comprising five properties and operated as two distinct units (North and South), the aggregation has a strong focus on large-scale winter cropping alongside grazing operations.
The enterprise includes over 11,800 hectares of dryland cropping, irrigated cropping country, extensive grazing land, and dedicated conservation areas. Managed as a progressive, well-structured operation, Nortongong offers the opportunity to work within a diverse, professionally run farming business with significant scale and long-term vision.The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and capable Senior Farm Hand / Operator to play a key role at our Nortongong aggregation. This is a hands-on, practical role with responsibility across cropping, livestock and machinery operations.
You’ll operate and maintain modern machinery, carry out seasonal fieldwork, and take pride in the quality and efficiency of your work. You’ll also play an important part in mentoring and supporting other team members to build capability and consistency across the crew.

What Your Work Will Involve
Your role will span across cropping, livestock and property operations, and no two weeks will look exactly the same. Your duties may include:
•Operate and maintain large-scale machinery for seeding, spraying, and harvest
•Support cropping programs and keep accurate records
•Maintain water systems, fencing, and general farm infrastructure
•Carry out machinery servicing and basic repairs
•Work safely, support others, and contribute to a positive team culture
About You
You will bring:
•Proven experience operating large broadacre machinery
•Ability to work independently and in a team environment
•Sound judgement, attention to detail and hands-on problem-solving skills
•A reliable, proactive and safety-first approach
Bonus (not essential): HR licence, ChemCert, First Aid, Ag qualifications or experience in structured farming systems.
