The Opportunity:
Due to our upcoming pipeline of work across Energy (Hydro, Solar, Wind, Transmission) and Transport markets we are looking for an experienced project manager to lead the delivery of a variety of innovative and technically challenging infrastructure projects across Australia. Working with private and government clients and Contractors, you will take ownership of delivery of a major infrastructure project with a focus on high-quality, financially and environmentally sustainable outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of civil and multidisciplinary projects.
- Manage major projects across the energy, renewable energy, resources, water, transport and civic sectors, working with clients and project teams across Australia.
- Build strong relationships with clients and act as the key point of contact, managing expectations and coordinating engineers, design managers and multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes
- Own project scope, program, budget, quality and risk management, driving delivery towards strong commercial and client outcomes.
- Prepare and manage project plans, budgets, forecasts, contracts, variations and progress reporting.
- Apply quality, safety and project governance requirements throughout delivery, ensuring outcomes are practical, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Mentor and support project staff, and help strengthen our project management capability and internal delivery practices.
- Identify and shape future opportunities through trusted client relationships and strong delivery.
What You Bring:
- 15+ years’ experience in project delivery and project management, ideally within an engineering consulting or infrastructure environment.
- A Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering; Chartered status (CPEng) is highly regarded.
- Experience of working with Contractors, in ECI, D&C or Alliance contracts.
- Strong commercial acumen across program, budget, contract understanding and administration and risk management, with a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Demonstrated experience managing the delivery of infrastructure projects involving earthworks, roads, drainage, civil structures, bridges and utilities and associated works across a range of market sectors.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions and deliver quality outcomes for clients and project teams.
- Strong communication and leadership skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive approach, a willingness to take ownership and the confidence to lead teams both collaboratively and independently to achieve outcomes.
