What’s on offer?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Safety Advisor to join our team on the Macquarie Park Bus Depot Project. This major infrastructure project will deliver a state-of-the-art depot capable of accommodating approximately 150 battery-electric buses, supporting public transport services across Sydney's lower North Shore and Northwest suburbs.
This full-time role offers a mix of site and office-based work, providing hands-on involvement across all aspects of project safety. You'll work closely with project teams and subcontractors to drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and support the successful delivery of this significant transport infrastructure project in NSW.
How will you connect to the role?
You'll thrive in this role if you're a collaborative safety professional who enjoys building strong relationships on site and working alongside operational teams to achieve positive safety outcomes.
You'll bring a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification, along with experience in a Health & Safety Advisory role and a practical understanding of managing workplace risks. While experience within civil construction is highly desirable, we also welcome applications from safety professionals with strong experience in similar advisory roles across other industries.
Experience conducting incident investigations is essential, with ICAM accreditation or practical ICAM investigation experience highly regarded. You will also possess well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to effectively engage with subcontractors, frontline workers and project leadership teams. A sound knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, standards and compliance requirements, coupled with a proactive and collaborative approach to safety, will set you up for success in this role.
