The Role
We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Recruitment Consultant to join our Recruitment Services team. In this role, you’ll manage end-to-end recruitment across a diverse range of sectors — working with both clients and candidates to make quality placements that align with our values and our clients’ needs.
This role is for someone who takes the time to understand what clients really need, genuinely cares about candidate outcomes, and builds relationships that go beyond a single placement.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle: advertising, sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing, reference checking and placement
- Partnering with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and advise on role design, market insights and candidate attraction
- Building and nurturing a strong candidate pipeline through creative and proactive sourcing strategies
- Maintaining accurate candidate and client records in line with compliance requirements
- Representing Maxima at local events and in the community to promote our services and purpose
- Contributing to continuous improvement projects and sharing market insights and activity with the team
- Reverse marketing candidates to current and prospective clients to generate new placement opportunities
- Delivering outstanding service and positioning Maxima as a trusted workforce solutions partner
About You
You might come from recruitment, sales, HR or professional services — what matters most is your ability to connect with people, earn trust quickly, and deliver genuine value to both clients and candidates.
You have:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to influence and negotiate
- A commercial mindset and ability to understand client needs
- The ability to manage competing priorities with organisation and calm
- Agility and flexibility, including willingness to work both on the road and in the office
- A genuine commitment to diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity
- A current driver’s licence
