Established in 2013, Yurala Civils delivers quality civil earthworks and miscellaneous services to the mining and civil industries, with extensive experience supporting major projects across the Pilbara.

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Rail Workers labourers and operators to join our team and support our Rail Network Project.Successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery managing Vegetation Removal and Control, Structural integrity of Culverts and Inspection of Bridges  weed and on and around the Client’s rail network between Port Hedland and Newman.

About the Role

As a Rail Worker, you will be responsible for the safe, and efficient operation of all works involved in vegetation control and eradication program, culvert and bridge inspections, and capable of demonstrating specialised skills in relation to all work scopes required along the rail network

You will work as part of the project team to complete daily operational activities in line with site requirements, safety procedures and project schedules.

The role may involve operating any or all of the following equipment, depending on your experience, competency and project requirements:

Key Responsibilities

• Vegetation removal and control
• Visual inspections of culverts and bridges and general maintenance work
• Clearing bridges and waterways of debris
• Ensuring identified heritage sites remain undisturbed
• Following site safety, environmental and operational procedures
• Working closely with supervisors and the wider project team
• Supporting the team to meet project targets and deadlines
• Assist the Client with other track work services

To be considered, you will have:

• Previous training and/or experience as a rail worker
• Relevant machinery tickets / competencies to operate skid steer, loader, excavator, tipper truck, float
• Current C Class or HR/MC Licence to operate heavy machinery
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on an 8/6 roster
• Reliable and strong work ethic
• Physically fit and willing to carry out manual labour tasks
