We are seeking a Project Engineer with a civil construction background for a new opportunity to work for a fast-growing construction company undertaking 3 waters infrastructure projects in the civil infrastructure sector.
Working in one of the busiest sectors of the industry, you’ll be involved with complex projects up to $20m, including pipelines, pumpstations, potable and stormwater utilities, trenchless and rehab works.
Highly regarded in their space, this company is deeply valued by their clients and is the go-to contractor for a lot of specialist projects.
Many of their staff have worked for the business for many years, and with a high retention rate, they have been able to invest heavily in their capabilities.
This role suits a technically minded person, who is also practical. You will need at least 3 years of drainage engineering and construction experience on 3 waters projects.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- A relevant tertiary level qualification in Civil Engineering
- A can-do positive attitude and the ability to work effectively within the team
- Be knowledgeable and have experience with pipelaying (Precast concrete, concrete lined steel pipe, HDPE, GRP and PVC)
- Ideally have shaft construction and open trenching experience (sheet piling, shoring, trenching and deep excavations). Trenchless construction such as CIPP and spiral lining, pipe jacking, HDD and/or tunnelling experience would be beneficial
- Have experience in pipeline testing, commissioning and disinfection.
- Have experience planning and delivering works within the Road corridor
- Have experience identifying and locating underground utilities and services
- Be capable in planning and organising the delivery of efficient construction works
- Be financially and commercially aware and competent
- Excellent communication skills and the propensity to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
