The Opportunity

Due to company growth, we now have a new opportunity for an additional Operations Scheduler to join our VIC team. We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual with a positive can-do attitude.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating, scheduling, and allocation of jobs for our Delivery Drivers.
  • Ensuring our Delivery Drivers are organised and on track to ensure efficiency and high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Overseeing daily job completion and managing tasks to complete.
  • Forecast workload days in advance.
  • Responding to any issues that occur during the delivery of service.
  • Prioritising communication with customers in a high level of customer service.
  • Maintaining excellent record keeping, notes and booking tasks.
  • Ability to prioritise workload whilst being in constant communication with other stakeholders, customers, contractor, internal team and drivers to ensure each and every job is delivered to the correct place on time.
  • Ensure truck utilisation is maximised to increase profitability.
  • Ensure all Incidents, Hazards and safety issues are reported, corrective actions are implemented and solutions are followed.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in operations scheduling or a similar logistical coordination role.
  • Ad hoc tasks that help support our clients, drivers and team.

What you will bring

  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role.
  • A professional phone manner with excellent communication skills.
  • Positive “can do” attitude.
  • Proficiency in OH&S compliance procedures and safe manual handling practices.
  • Ability to pick up new skills quickly and maintain accurate information.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in OH&S compliance and manual handling.
  • Alignment with and enthusiasm for our core values is a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Capability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to contribute to a high-functioning vibrant team environment.
