The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of international shipments, including air, sea, and land transportation. This role involves ensuring on-time delivery and preparing and reviewing essential shipping documents. The role will also work closely with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to secure necessary permits and clearances, while maintaining accurate documentation to facilitate smooth customs clearance. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential, along with effective communication and coordination with internal teams, carriers, and suppliers.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the entire process for international shipments, including air, sea, and land transportation, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and project schedules.
  • Coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping line carriers, local, and third-party providers to secure transportation capacity and meet deadlines, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Preparing and review essential shipping documents such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations to ensure compliance with international regulations.
  • Working with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits, licences, and clearances.
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation to facilitate smooth customs clearance and minimise delays.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams, carriers, and suppliers to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

About You

Experience:

  • Previous experience in freight forwarding or international shipping operations, with a solid understanding of logistics management principles.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping documentation requirements.
  • Experience with SAP, or similar systems is preferred.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Competent user of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on excellent customer service.
