About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager – Auto to lead our Pinkenba Auto QLD site. This is a key leadership role responsible for the end-to-end management of our automotive auction operations, from asset intake and presentation through to sale, settlement, and post-sale administration.

You will lead a professional team, manage key client relationships, and ensure our auctions are delivered to the highest standard of accuracy, compliance, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver all scheduled automotive auctions at the Pinkenba site
  • Oversee vendor onboarding, consignment intake, and asset documentation in accordance with agency agreements
  • Manage vehicle condition assessments, grading, photography, and digital presentation for all online auction listings
  • Ensure PPSR and encumbrance checks are completed on all assets prior to listing and manage clear title requirements
  • Develop and manage disposal strategies for passed-in and unsold assets including re-listing and private treaty options
  • Ensure compliance with the Motor Dealers and Chattel Auctioneers Act 2014 (Qld) and all AML/KYC obligations
  • Manage post-sale administration including title transfers, release authorities, and buyer collection coordination
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and institutional fleet accounts
  • Lead, manage, and develop direct reports to ensure KPIs and deadlines are consistently met
  • Run weekly operational and safety meetings and drive a proactive WHS culture across the team
  • Fulfil company KPIs in relation to SLAs with financial clients
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 standards, ISMS, and all company policies and procedures

 

About You

  • Proven operations management experience, preferably in an automotive auction or fleet disposal environment
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
  • Working knowledge of PPSR, motor vehicle titling, and encumbrance compliance in Queensland
  • Familiarity with AML/KYC obligations applicable to auction and asset disposal operations
  • Understanding of the Motor Dealers and Chattel Auctioneers Act 2014 (Qld)
  • Experience managing fleet client relationships and institutional vendor accounts
  • Proficiency with online auction platforms and digital asset management systems
  • Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a calm, confident, and professional approach
  • Current driver’s licence
