Reporting directly to the Village Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of UNSW Village, ensuring the village runs efficiently while delivering an exceptional experience for residents and supporting the ongoing success of the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of all functions of Village operations.
- Responsible for leading the emergency management response for the village as needed
- Provide accurate and timely operation reports on key areas of management and project activity.
- Work with the Village Management to achieve agreed budgeted occupancy targets.
- Support in managing and supervising the Village budgets and finances.
- Manage and support a residential life program that supports the requirements of the University’s framework
- Manage all People and Culture issues, including recruitment, induction, training and performance management in conjunction with the People and Culture team
- Plan and implement marketing and sales plan in conjunction with Marketing team
- Actively engage with university staff and management to develop and maintain positive relationships.
- The responsibilities of this role may evolve based on the changing needs of our residents and the business. We seek candidates who are adaptable and open to taking on new challenges as they arise.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualification
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database management system systems such as StarRez
- Experience in an operational role with supervisory duties in a service-based industry
- Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in hotel or business management
- Current National Police Clearance Check
