Due to continued growth and operational focus, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Cold Stores Operations Manager to join our Processing & Logistics team at our Cannon Hill facility in Brisbane.

Reporting to the Site Manager, this critical leadership role will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our Cold Stores function, ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant movement of approximately 110,000 cartons (2.4 million kilograms) of product each week.

Leading a team of Shift Supervisors, Leading Hands and operational employees across a 24/5 operation, you will drive operational excellence, develop people and capability, and ensure outstanding service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and product integrity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading all aspects of Cold Stores operations, including receivals, blast freezing, storage, pick and dispatch.
• Championing a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with food safety, HACCP and WHS requirements.
• Driving operational performance through strong leadership, workforce engagement and continuous improvement.
• Developing and mentoring Shift Supervisors and Leading Hands to build a high-performing team.
• Maintaining inventory accuracy, cold chain integrity and efficient product flow across the operation.
• Collaborating with Production, Logistics, Quality and Engineering teams to optimise operational performance.
• Supporting business improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, service and cost efficiency.

Requirements:

You are an experienced operations leader who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing, cold storage or refrigerated logistics environments. You lead from the floor, build strong relationships with your team and are passionate about developing people while delivering operational results.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Demonstrated leadership experience within cold storage, refrigerated warehousing, food manufacturing or FMCG operations.
• Experience leading large operational teams across multiple shifts.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and outbound logistics.
• Sound understanding of HACCP, food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Proven experience delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A hands-on leadership style with a genuine commitment to safety, people and culture.

Experience within meat processing, export operations or automated warehouse environments will be highly regarded.
