There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager, based in our Brisbane warehouse, reporting to the National Head of Operations. 

The role 

We are seeking a hands-on Operations professional to manage the day-to-day delivery of our logistics and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for leading operational team members, managing a fleet of vehicles, coordinating the delivery and collection of furniture to and from job sites, and overseeing all incoming and outgoing goods. Strong planning, attention to detail, and the ability to manage labour budgets are essential, as this role plays a critical part in ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and on schedule. 

You will play a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, improving performance, and building a high-performing team. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, hands-on operational leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Developing and executing operational strategies to support business growth 
  • Leading day-to-day warehouse operations and developing on-site leadership capability 
  • Implementing and maintaining operational standards, policies, and processes 
  • Improving systems, workflows, and best practices to drive efficiency 
  • Managing inventory planning, purchasing, and warehouse performance 
  • Monitoring KPIs, budgets, and forecasts to improve profitability 
  • Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across operations 
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring team members  
  • Building strong relationships with external stakeholders 
  • Driving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement 

About you 

You are a proactive and results-driven operations professional with strong experience in warehouse and logistics management.

You are comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced environment and have a track record of improving operational performance. 

You will bring: 

  • Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management 
  • Strong understanding of operational systems and process improvement 
  • Excellent leadership, delegation, and organisational skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Experience managing budgets and interpreting financial data 
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Proficient computer and reporting skills 
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities 
  • A professional, solutions-focused approach 

Typical day 

No two days are the same, but a typical day may include: 

  • Reviewing warehouse performance and operational KPIs 
  • Supporting and coaching team members on daily operations 
  • Managing inventory levels and workflow planning 
  • Identifying process improvements to increase efficiency 
  • Meeting with stakeholders to support service delivery 
  • Reviewing budgets, forecasts, and operational reports 
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards 
  • Leading team discussions and driving a positive workplace culture
