What’s on offer?
Our Spray Seal team is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our Infrastructure Services team based in Rutherford (Newcastle). Reporting to the Program/Operations Manager, you will oversee project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets are achieved. You will also manage client and subcontractor relationships and provide regular performance reporting to senior management.
What you’ll do?
Preparing management plans, including site-specific assessments for inspection and test plan requirements, safe work method statements, and traffic control requirements;
Managing the coordination, procurement and tracking of materials essential for project execution;
Preparing all necessary permits to complete planned works in accordance with Fulton Hogan policies;
Managing internal finance systems, including raising and tracking purchase orders and assisting with incoming invoice requirements;
Participating in tender reviews and supporting the Estimating and Tendering Team as needed;
Liaising with Site Supervisors to ensure the timely collection of all required information and documentation;
Tracking daily costs against prepared budgets to identify issues and report them to the Program/Operations Manager;
Providing contractual support to Site Supervisors, including managing variations, extensions of time, and non-conformances;
Overseeing safety management, including MSDS, SWMS, and incident reporting.
Prepared lot packages and collated relevant information promptly for submission to clients.
How you’ll connect to the role?
You will be a highly organised and proactive operations professional with experience coordinating projects in a civil, construction, infrastructure, or maintenance environment. Your ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, combined with your focus on safety, quality, and delivering results, will enable you to thrive in this role. Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage competing priorities will see you successfully support project delivery and contribute to the ongoing success of our Spray Seal operations.
