About the role
We are seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join the Operations and Maintenance team at the Mt Carlton Gold Mine, supporting the ongoing maintenance and reliability of the process plant and site infrastructure.
This role will be offered on a Max Term Full Time Contract and will see you work a 8/6 Roster Days/Nights. This role will be DIDO/BIBO from the Townsville Region. Accommodation and Meals are supplied whilst on site.
Duties will include but not be limited to:-
- Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across the process plant and site services infrastructure.
- Maintain and repair fixed plant and site equipment, including pumps, conveyors, crushers, screens, agitators, gearboxes, piping systems and associated mechanical equipment.
- Maintain site services and infrastructure, including water systems, pumps, pipelines and other supporting site facilities.
- Work closely with Operations and other maintenance personnel to improve equipment availability, reliability and performance.
- Carry out shutdown maintenance activities, including component replacements, rebuilds, repairs and plant upgrades.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with site safety standards, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Complete maintenance records, work orders and reporting accurately within the site maintenance management system.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities across equipment reliability, safety and maintenance efficiency.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across the process plant, workshops, site services areas and associated work locations.
To be successful in this role, you will have:-
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
- Previous experience within a processing plant environment
- Strong experience with equipment such as pumps, conveyors, crushers, screens, mills, agitators and gearboxes
- Current Coal Board Medical or Mining, Minerals and Quarries Medical – desirable
- Strong safety mindset with a commitment to following procedures and site standards.
- Current Australian Drivers License – Essential
- Right to Work in Australia – Essential
