The Role

Our Ridge Street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renowned Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses.

Join our maintenance team as a Fabricator, using your hands‑on skills to keep equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll handle daily repairs, maintenance and fabrication work that lifts safety, quality and productivity. Perfect for a proactive tradesperson who loves solving problems and making a real impact on production performance.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out repairs and fabrication tasks that support reliability, safety, and continuous improvement across the plant

• Ensuring all fabricated or repaired components meet precise specifications and quality standards

• Supporting safe and high‑quality operations by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety procedures

• Working closely with teammates across maintenance and production to minimise downtime and keep the plant running smoothly

• Participating in team meetings, keeping work areas clean, and helping maintain an organised and efficient workshop

About you

• Certificate III in – Fabrication Trade (Boiler making/Welding), or equivalent experience

• Experience with fabrication or maintenance in manufacturing (food/dairy experience is a bonus)

• An eye for detail, ability to read technical drawings, and comfort working independently when needed

• A thoughtful, safety‑first mindset and a genuine care for quality in your work

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the confidence to collaborate and ask questions
