Labourer

We have multiple casual Labourer roles available across our sites, with work locations locally in Cairns or within 3 hours north or south of Cairns, depending on project requirements. These are entry-level, physical roles suited to people who are fit, reliable and willing to work outdoors as part of a civil construction crew. Permanent opportunities are available for successful candidates who prove to be a strong fit for the team.

About the Role

• General civil construction labouring across roadworks, drainage, earthworks and site preparation.
• Supporting crews with trenching, backfilling, spotting machinery, loading and unloading materials, and setting up work areas.
• Assisting with site clean-up, moving materials, traffic and pedestrian control support, and keeping work areas safe and tidy.
• Following directions from supervisors and leading hands to support day-to-day construction activities on site.

Requirements

• Own reliable transport & current driver’s licence.
• Truck licence desirable, but not essential.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual labouring tasks in an outdoor civil construction environment.
• Willing to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be willing to work locally or away on shift, depending on project requirements.
