POSITION OVERVIEW – HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER:
Ngurratjuta is seeking a Human Resources Manager (HR Manager) to lead the delivery of contemporary people and culture practices across the organisation. This role is critical in providing strategic and operational HR advice, strengthening workforce capability and culture, and ensuring compliance with industrial relations and employment legislation. The HR Manager will oversee key functions including recruitment and onboarding, performance and talent management, employee relations, policy development, learning and development, and HR reporting/systems to support effective service delivery across the region.
ABOUT THE CORPORATION:
Ngurratjuta was incorporated in August 1985 under the Aboriginal Corporations Act 1976 (Cth) before transitioning to incorporation under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth). It is an Association of all those Communities deemed to have “affected” by the oil and gas mining operations at Mereenie and Palm Valley and provided a body to receive and distribute the statutory royalties payable to the affected Communities and groups under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 (Cth).
Ngurratjuta’s original purpose was to provide financially independent Aboriginal Communities with Inter-Community Corporations and utilise royalty funds to build an active investment base to protect accumulated royalty funds. Ngurratjuta has, over its 40 years of operation, built a portfolio of diverse investments and operated a number of successful enterprises across various industry sectors, whilst actively supporting Community development activities and infrastructure improvements in Member Communities.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the HR Manager, you will play a key leadership role in developing and implementing HR strategies that support our business objectives. You will oversee all facets of human resources, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compliance, learning and development, and workforce planning.
REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer
LOCATION: This role is based in Alice Springs.
The Employer may require the Employee to perform their duties at various places of business/work sites in the Northern Territory, interstate or elsewhere.
The Employer will provide to the Employee transport and/or accommodation as required if the Employee is required to work in a location other than the Ngurratjuta Region.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time
