About the role

As we look for 2 Heavy Vehicle (HV) Mechanics with IOR, you’ll be part of our day team working 7:00am–4:00pm, with occasional Saturday shifts when required and 11am -9.30pm (1week on 1 week off roster). You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and servicing our fleet to ensure reliability, safety, and performance — helping us deliver on our promise to Keep Australia moving with IOR.

• Conduct repair, maintenance, and servicing to meet or exceed legislative standards, continually improving approaches to work and how we do things.
• Conduct detailed inspections and preventative maintenance
• Consistently strive towards a zero-harm worksite and approach to work.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure we meet tight timeframes of work.
• Electronic data entry for all vehicle service, maintenance, and repair records to NHVAS compliance standards.

About you

You’re a qualified HV Mechanic with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork. You take pride in keeping vehicles running at their best and bring a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs. Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays, a commitment to high standards, and a passion for supporting a values-driven business are key to your success in this role.

• Heavy Vehicle Mechanic trade certificate.
• Experience working on heavy vehicles including Kenworth, Volvo prime movers and rigids, and fuel tankers
• Previous experience working with fuel trailers will be advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license (HR and MC license preferred).
