General Yard Hand / Forklift person

About the role:

We are seeking a General Hand to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the smooth operation of our business. This role is suitable for someone who is physically fit, has a can-do attitude and can work independently.

What you’ll be doing:

• Operating forklift for loading and unloading sheet piles, machinery, and other products
• General labouring tasks – handling, storing, distribution
• Picking and packing orders
• Operating oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment
• Operate machinery and equipment
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks
• Maintain inventory, stock takes and associated paperwork

What you’ll need:

• Drivers license
• Forklift (LF) license
• White card
• Must have forklift experience. Experience operating 16tonne forklift is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required
• Willingness for occasional travel
