Nyimili Hire and Contracting is a partner in the Indigenous Shared Services Group, which is a group of Indigenous businesses that co-invest, pool and share resources to help Indigenous individuals, families and communities trade, invest and work together to create a self determining economic future.

The company is a majority Indigenous owned and operated business that provides a suite of general contracting services within the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It was founded by Yinhawangka Traditional Owner Roy Tommy and his family, alongside other Indigenous investors that belong to Palyku, Nyiyaparli, Kariyarra, Banjima, Nyamal, Noongar and Yuet peoples.

Summary:

This opportunity is best suited to operators who are confident working in fast‑paced mining environments and who take pride in safe, efficient equipment operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Watercart and Moxy equipment safely and efficiently within active mining environments
  • Maintain effective dust suppression and water distribution across site
  • Conduct pre‑start checks and report mechanical issues promptly
  • Monitor water usage to support effective resource management
  • Follow all site safety procedures, policies, and operational standards
  • Assist with environmental management requirements
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and site teams to ensure smooth operations.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience operating Watercarts and/or Moxy in mining or large‑scale civil environments
  • Strong understanding of mine‑site safety systems and traffic management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, safety‑focused, and production‑driven work ethic

Qualifications:

  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (HR or above preferred)
  • Current Watercart and Moxy tickets
  • Rio Tinto Induction – highly regarded
