Our focus is on building a skilled technical team and delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes across our growing endoscopy services business.

This role forms part of our ongoing commitment to developing a high-performing technical team to support continued growth and investment in technical capability.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopic Flexible-Scope Service Technician to join our service team. The role involves the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of flexible endoscopes and associated equipment in line with established service procedures, internal quality systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.

The position requires a high level of technical accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency in workmanship. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple departments, supporting service delivery and contributing to the continued growth of our endoscopy services business.

Candidates with prior experience servicing flexible endoscopes are strongly encouraged to apply; however, we are also open to applicants with relevant transferable technical experience in precision mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair flexible endoscopes and related components
  • Perform preventative maintenance, functional testing, and final quality checks
  • Disassemble, reassemble, and adjust precision mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Follow approved service procedures and internal quality standards
  • Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and traceability
  • Uphold high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and tool control
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service turnaround times and quality expectations

About You

Essential:

  • Strong technical aptitude with mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Pride in producing high-quality repair work
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and technical instructions
  • Methodical problem-solving approach
  • Good communication and organisational skills

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience servicing flexible endoscopes or other endoscopic equipment
  • Background in medical device repair, biomedical engineering, optics, or precision instruments
  • Experience working within regulated or quality-controlled environments

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to join a growing and well-established business investing in its endoscopy services
  • Exposure to a specialist and expanding technical field, with opportunities to broaden skills and responsibilities as the business grows
  • Career development pathways supported by training, mentoring, and hands-on experience
  • A collaborative, supportive team environment within a nationally recognised biomedical engineering organisation
  • Competitive salary aligned with experience

If you have experience servicing flexible endoscopes โ€” or a relevant technical background and the willingness to learn โ€” we would welcome your application.
