Electrical Switchboard Technician – Electrical Fitter/Electrician

Due to continued growth we’re looking for a motivated individual to work alongside our skilled tradespeople in the construction of high-quality electrical switchboards. You’ll contribute to a variety of projects across Australia, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install electrical switchboards according to specifications and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Assist in the training of junior technicians and apprentices.

Qualification, Skills and requirements:

• Completion of a relevant electrical trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Electrotechnology).
• Proven experience in manufacturing Electrical Switchboards.
• An Electrical Supervisors (or contractors) license.
• knowledge of switchboard manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Awareness of relevant standards for designing, manufacturing, and testing Electrical Switchboards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• The ability to manage and organise your time and resources efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
• A willingness to assist and support apprentices and junior staff.
• Current electrical licence and relevant certifications.
• A current NSW Driver’s License.
• A Construction White Card.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• A police background check (or be willing to complete one).
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including Drug and Alcohol testing.
• Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight as part of your role.
