What's on offer?
Based in our Richmond office, the Contracts Administrator partners closely with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager to support the successful delivery of multiple projects. Acting as the key point of contact for contractual matters, you'll manage contract administration, mitigate commercial risk, and provide practical advice to project teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to make a real impact on project outcomes and organisational success.
In this role youโll be responsible for:
- Manage the end-to-end administration of contracts and purchase orders, including variations, scope changes, funding requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, ensuring all projects are delivered in line with contractual and company requirements.
- Administer subcontractor and supplier contracts, tracking performance, risks, key milestones, and commercial outcomes.
- Partner with finance and administration teams to support billing, revenue collection, contract payments, and audit processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on all contractual matters.
- Prepare and maintain contractual correspondence, reports, records, and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support contract negotiations, claims management, dispute resolution, and commercial risk mitigation activities.
- Provide proactive commercial and contractual advice to project teams, helping to drive successful project delivery and outcomes.
How will you connect to the role?
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, Economics, Business, or similar
- Minimum 2 years of prior experience working as a Contract Administrator within a construction environment, desired.
- Ability to work autonomously while administering and managing multiple projects and subcontract packages;
- Strong understanding of contract administration, commercial processes, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build strong relationships and negotiate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
This position is initially offered as a part time, fixed term, 12-month contract although there is the potential to transition to a permanent role in the future.
