Civil Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our team in the mining industry based in Brisbane, Queensland. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for ensuring the successful planning, design, and execution of mining projects. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of innovative solutions while adhering to safety and environmental regulations, thereby enhancing our operational efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site investigations and assessments to determine the suitability of locations for mining operations.
• Design and oversee the construction of mining infrastructure, including roads, tunnels, and drainage systems.
• Collaborate with geologists and other engineers to develop effective mining plans.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all project phases.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to management on timelines and budgets.
• Assist in the management of project resources and liaise with contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably within the mining sector.
• Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
