Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Dubbo, New South Wales. This permanent, full-time position is essential for the successful execution of various building and construction projects. The Carpenter will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards, contributing to the overall success of our operations in the building industry.
Responsibilities:
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues to management.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior carpenters and apprentices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years in the building and construction industry.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
