Business Operations Manager

Company Description

We are a leading International Freight Forwarder with offices in Melbourne, the U.S and Europe. We are forecasting significant growth within our existing accounts over the next 12-24 months. In anticipation of this increase in business activity including a focus on new business, we are seeking an experienced operations leader from the Freight/Logistics industry.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Business Operations Manager in Melbourne, VIC. The role involves overseeing and optimizing daily business activities, managing budgets, analyzing operational processes, and implementing strategies to drive efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications and Experience.

• Proven experience in business operations management within Freight Forwarding. Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Administration skills in working with Financial Controller for licenses, compliance assisting with ISO applications, IATA regulator etc.
• Set up of SOPs relating to the implementation of new accounts and working closely with the KAM team and Sales Manager to ensure they have all of the information they need to successfully onboard new business.
• Management of offshore teams in Manilla and U.S ensuring they are working to company processes.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field (ideal).
