The Opportunity:
With significant investment planned across Victoria's water sector over the coming years, we're looking for an experienced Water Utilities Lead to help drive the growth of our Victorian water business and strengthen our position in this expanding market.
This is a unique opportunity for a senior water professional who enjoys combining technical leadership, client engagement and business growth. You'll work closely with leaders across the business to shape our Victorian water strategy, build trusted client relationships and lead the delivery of complex water and sewer infrastructure projects.
You'll play a key role in identifying market opportunities, supporting project teams and ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. At the same time, you'll help develop our people and capability, contributing to the long-term success of pitt&sherry.
What you'll do:
- Lead the growth of pitt&sherry's presence within the Victorian water utilities market.
- Build and strengthen relationships with water authority clients, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact.
- Identify new opportunities and contribute to winning work through strategic business development and proposal leadership.
- Help define and refine our value proposition within the Victorian water sector.
- Lead the delivery of complex water and sewer infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality technical, commercial and client outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary projects involving water, transport, local government and property sectors.
- Manage project risks, stakeholder relationships, budgets and delivery outcomes.
- Mentor and develop engineers and project team members, helping grow capability across the business.
- Drive continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and enhancing project delivery practices
What you'll bring:
You'll be an accomplished engineer with strong Victorian water utilities experience and a passion for developing client relationships, supporting teams and delivering great project outcomes with the following experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- 10 + years of engineering experience with 5 of those years' recent experience delivering Victorian water and sewer utility projects.
- Current CPEng and RPEV accreditation.
- Strong technical expertise across water and sewer infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- A proven ability to build trusted client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
- Experience contributing to successful business development and proposal activities.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical, client and business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skill
- Other experience in local government, regional Victorian water authorities and consulting is not essential but will be well regarded
