The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Asset & Maintenance Scheduler to join our team here in Karratha.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the efficient allocation, maintenance, and compliance of plant, equipment, and fleet across CORPS. This includes scheduling maintenance activities, managing asset records, supporting plant mobilisation / demobilisation, and ensuring that operational requirements are met with minimal downtime.

The role works closely with the Workshop and Project teams to align resource planning with project timelines and maintenance needs, while ensuring compliance with safety, insurance, and regulatory standards. Strong organisational and communication skills are critical for managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Project Managers to identify plant maintenance needs and deploy resources effectively.
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for all plant, vehicles, and machinery.
  • Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance to minimise operational disruption.
  • Provide data-driven insights to improve equipment performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Workshop, Projects, Operations) to align planning and delivery.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, contractors, and hire companies.
  • Assist in strategic forecasting of plant and maintenance resource requirements.

Requirements / Skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, trade certificate or equivalent in a related field (desirable).
  • Experience in fleet, plant or asset management within the civil construction industry.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance planning for heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Experience in equipment licencing, registration and compliance audits.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
