Geppetto’s Carpentry is seeking a motivated and reliable 1st Year Apprentice Carpenter to join their team. With over 17 years of experience, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and commercial carpentry projects with exceptional attention to detail.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from skilled tradespeople, and build a long-term career in the construction industry.

As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will work alongside qualified carpenters and gain practical experience across a variety of projects while completing your formal training.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting qualified carpenters with daily tasks, site setup, and pack-down
• Measuring, cutting, and installing materials under supervision
• Safely using hand and power tools
• Maintaining clean and organised worksites
• Assisting with materials handling, deliveries, and equipment management
• Completing training requirements and competency documentation
• Demonstrating a professional attitude and willingness to learn

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• A genuine interest in carpentry and the building industry
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to work effectively within a small team
• Good communication skills and the confidence to ask questions
• A commitment to completing apprenticeship training and TAFE requirements

• Current Driver’s Licence or actively working towards obtaining one
• Completion of Year 12 and/or a Pre-Apprenticeship in Carpentry
• Ability to travel to various work sites across Perth
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safe work practice.

• Full-time employment (38 hours per week plus overtime opportunities)
