The overall scope of theĀ Workshop TechnicianĀ position is to carry out service and repairs to customer and companyĀ ownedĀ MobileĀ Elevating Work PlatformsĀ (MEWP),Ā Telehandlers,Ā andĀ LightingĀ Towers in the workshop and in the field when requested.Ā

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ā Ā Ā

Ā
Evaluating performance of equipmentĀ Ā
Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specificationsĀ
Installing, testing,Ā servicing,Ā repairing,Ā and modifying electronic,Ā mechanical,Ā andĀ hydraulic equipmentĀ and machines. May work with other types of equipment on occasion such as hydraulic hoses, small diesel engines,Ā etc.Ā
Conducting pre delivery inspections andĀ assessing machines to ensure they are in good workingĀ order.Ā
Conduct repairs and maintenance of customer and JLGĀ ownedĀ MEWP,Ā Lighting TowersĀ andĀ Telehandlers.Ā
Assist with the training and supervision ofĀ Apprentices.Ā
Abide by specific site instructions including Workplace Health & Safety and EnvironmentalĀ policies.Ā
Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, ensure all tools used are in good workingĀ order.Ā
Responsible for completing all appropriate paperworkĀ and inspection forms required by ANZĀ Standards and also by customer and/or siteĀ requirements.Ā
Conduct three monthly and annual inspections of machinesĀ MEWPĀ in accordance with JLG and ANZ industryĀ standards.Ā
Participate in pre-start meetings and toolboxĀ talks.Ā Ā
Maintain personal retailĀ LabourĀ utilizationĀ rates as perĀ target.Ā
Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with theĀ team.Ā Ā
General ad-hoc duties asĀ required.Ā

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Ā Ā Ā Ā
Ā
Previous experience in a similar roleĀ ā experience with mechanical,Ā hydraulic,Ā and electrical advantageousĀ Ā
Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical, or related fieldĀ Ā
Ability to effectively communicateĀ both written andĀ verbal.Ā
Proficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machineĀ manuals,Ā and understand basic numeracy such as time, partsĀ numbers,Ā andĀ quantities.Ā Ā
Ability to work independently and as aĀ team.Ā
