Make a Real Difference with United Disability Care
At United Disability Care (UDC), we believe every person deserves the opportunity to love their life and live their dreams. Our organisation is built on a person-led approach, genuine relationships, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support to people living with disabilities.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Work Health & Safety Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating safe workplaces, supporting staff wellbeing, and driving continuous improvement across an organisation that truly values its people.

This role will play a key part in strengthening UDC’s safety culture while supporting leaders and teams to ensure best practice WHS systems, compliance, injury management, and return-to-work processes are embedded throughout the organisation.

About the Role:
As the Work Health & Safety Manager, you will work closely with operational leaders, HR, and Quality teams to lead and improve workplace health and safety systems across the organisation. You will provide practical guidance and operational support while ensuring UDC remains compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements.

The role will involve overseeing WHS frameworks, incident and hazard management, audits, injury management, return-to-work coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also contribute to developing policies, procedures, and safety strategies that support both our teams and the people we support.

We are looking for someone who can confidently balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and who genuinely enjoys building positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.

What You’ll Bring:
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within WHS, injury management, or return-to-work coordination, along with strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management practices.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Confidence conducting investigations, audits, and risk assessments
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Experience within disability, health, aged care, or community services will be highly regarded.
Qualifications
A Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent qualification) is essential for this position.

Why Join UDC?

In joining our team, you’ll become part of an organisation that values innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and meaningful outcomes for both staff and participants.
