Water Cart / Moxy Operator – FIFO | 2:1 Roster

Georgiou is urgently seeking experienced Water Cart / Moxy Operators to join our team delivering the Rio Tinto Mesa J TSF8 Central Dividing Embankment project near Pannawonica in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

This significant civil earthworks project will see Georgiou deliver the TSF8 Central Dividing Embankment, with our site team undertaking major bulk earthworks using a substantial heavy mobile plant fleet.

Working a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth, we are looking for multi-skilled operators who are experienced and qualified to operate both Water Carts and Moxy Dump Trucks and are ready to mobilise to site on 29 September 2026.

Due to the mobilisation timeframe, applicants must hold both RIIMPO206 – Bulk Water Truck Operations and RIIMPO337 – Conduct Articulated Haul Truck Operations, have a current Rio Tinto induction, and be available in Perth over the coming week to complete VOCs, medicals, inductions and remaining mobilisation requirements.

Operators who do not meet both ticket requirements cannot be considered for these positions.

About the role:

As a Water Cart / Moxy Operator, you’ll work as part of Georgiou’s earthworks team delivering the Rio Tinto Mesa J TSF8 project.

This is a multi-skilled operator position requiring you to safely and competently operate both Water Carts and Moxy Dump Trucks, moving between equipment as required to support project activities.

You’ll work closely with Supervisors and other Operators across bulk earthworks activities, supporting water cart operations and dust suppression, material movement and haulage, and the safe and productive delivery of the project.

Your skills and experience:

   •   RIIMPO206 – Bulk Water Truck Operations – essential.
   •   RIIMPO337 – Conduct Articulated Haul Truck Operations – essential.
   •   Current Rio Tinto induction – essential.
   •   Demonstrated recent experience operating both Water Carts and Moxy Dump Trucks in civil construction, mining or bulk earthworks environments.
   •   Must be available in Perth over the coming week to complete VOCs, pre-employment medicals, inductions and remaining mobilisation requirements.
   •   Must be available to mobilise to site on 29 September 2026.
   •   Previous Roller operating experience and the  recognised Roller qualification will be highly regarded.
   •   Previous tailings, mining infrastructure or large-scale civil earthworks experience will be highly regarded.
   •   Construction White Card.
   •   Current driver’s licence.
   •   Ability to work a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth.
   •   Strong commitment to safe and productive plant operation.

What you’ll be doing:

   •   Operate Water Carts and Moxy Dump Trucks safely and efficiently across project earthworks activities.
   •   Move between Water Cart and Moxy operations as required by the project.
   •   Support water cart, dust suppression, material movement and haulage activities.
   •   Complete daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks.
   •   Identify and report plant defects and maintenance requirements.
   •   Work safely around excavators, dozers, graders, rollers and other heavy mobile equipment.
   •   Follow Supervisor instructions, project traffic management requirements and Rio Tinto site procedures.
   •   Maintain safe operating distances and strong situational awareness around mobile plant.
   •   Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and project safety activities.
   •   Operate allocated equipment in accordance with manufacturer, client and project requirements.
