Plant Operator

Grove Juice is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator to manage the day-to-day operation of our Leeton Waste Water Treatment Plant. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the plant operates effectively, maintains optimum health and throughput, and supports the ongoing compliance, safety and performance standards of our site. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving skills and a commitment to safe, compliant operations. You will work closely with the production, engineering and maintenance teams to support continuous performance of the WWTP and contribute to a positive, values-led workplace culture.

About the Role

As the WWTP Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring and supporting the maintenance of the treatment plant, including sampling and testing, chemical stock management, documentation, contractor liaison and coordination with internal teams. The role also supports audit readiness and compliance with site procedures, GMP, Food Safety, HACCP and third-party certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation of the Waste Water Treatment Plant to support optimum plant health and throughput.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly sampling and testing requirements.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering and maintenance teams to support WWTP performance.
  • Promptly report and escalate plant issues to internal teams and external contractors as required.
  • Maintain appropriate chemical stock levels and support engineering parts stock control.
  • Assist with maintenance coordination using MEX.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational documentation.
  • Support improvement initiatives, audits and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Follow all safety, GMP, Food Safety, HACCP, site procedure and third-party certification requirements.

About You

You will be a practical, safety-conscious and organised operator who takes pride in accurate work, clear communication and reliable follow-through. You will be comfortable working in a production environment and able to prioritise tasks to support continuous site operations.

Essential Criteria

  • Current forklift licence.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required.
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A results-driven approach and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Ability to follow procedures, maintain records and work effectively with internal teams.

Desirable

  • Previous experience operating a Waste Water Treatment Plant or similar industrial treatment process.
  • Experience working in food manufacturing, FMCG or a regulated production environment.
  • Exposure to sampling, testing, chemical dosing, environmental compliance or maintenance coordination systems.
