As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead Lane Cove warehouse operation and drive operational excellence across inventory, logistics, people and processes.

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will take ownership of the day-to-day management of our warehouse and distribution activities while maintaining a visible, hands-on presence on the warehouse floor. You will be responsible for warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, inbound and outbound logistics, safety, quality, cost control and team performance, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

 

Warehouse Operations

  • Lead the day-to-day warehouse operation across receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing and dispatch.
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve warehouse processes and workflows.
  • Review and improve warehouse layouts, stock locations and storage strategies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

 

Inventory Management

  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and stock integrity across all warehouse locations.
  • Manage cycle counting programs, stock investigations and variance reporting.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure stock movements, transfers and adjustments are accurately processed in SAP/WMS.

 

Logistics and Freight Management

  • Manage inbound and outbound freight activities and carrier performance.
  • Ensure orders are dispatched accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Develop strong relationships with freight providers and suppliers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service levels and reduce freight costs.
  • Monitor carrier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Resource and Cost Management

  • Plan labour resources to meet operational demands.
  • Use ERP/WMS systems and operational data to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor warehouse operating costs, including labour, freight and consumables.
  • Deliver productivity, efficiency and cost-saving improvements.

Quality, Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, company policies and procedures.
  • Support and uphold Novis Healthcare’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Promote a safe, organised and compliant warehouse environment.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, coach and develop warehouse team members.
  • Manage training, performance and development activities.
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, communication and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Service and other internal teams to resolve operational issues and improve customer outcomes.

 

About You

You are a hands-on leader who enjoys being actively involved in warehouse operations while maintaining a strategic focus on continuous improvement and team development.

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in a Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, Distribution Centre Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong inventory management, stock control and warehouse optimisation experience.
  • Proven success leading and developing warehouse teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (SAP Business One highly regarded).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
  • A current forklift licence would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to obtain (or already hold): National Police Check
