Warehouse Assistants

We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Assistants to come on board for our client’s peak season!
  
Source SBG is a successful Australian owned, QLD based, family business with existing brands and products in the stationery, apparel, and textile sectors. Christmas, summer holidays and back-to-school time is the peak season for Source SBG’s stationery and back-to-school brand, Spencil (www.spencil.com.au) which means the warehouse is preparing for its busiest time of year!
 
THE OPPORTUNITY:

• Undertake pick and pack activity for online orders, trade orders and retail store orders.
• Be part of a team responsible for supporting the fulfilment of orders and ensuring orders are sent out on time and with zero room for error.
• Assist with any additional activities such as stock control and inventory count.
• Assist with container unloads and stock receiving.
• Follow instructions and report to the Warehouse Manager and Supervisors as required.
• Other general warehouse duties as required.
• Quickly become part of the team, including getting up to speed on the products and brand, warehouse systems and procedures, and contributing to a positive team culture and collaborate and work well alongside co-workers.  
• This can be a great opportunity to earn in the holiday period and get some hands-on warehousing experience. 

• Be an integral part of the team during this busy period – your role is all about ensuring the company’s values of delivering exceptional customer service to their customers is upheld.
• Previous experience in warehouse pick and pack role or similar is desirable, although not essential.
• Great attention to detail! Making sure product is packed accurately and well for distribution to the retail outlets and customers on time and with little room for error!
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to build rapport quickly with other team members.
• Have a can-do attitude.
• Be proactive and self-motivated – we’re looking for people who can muck in and help out and who are happy to get involved in all activities around the warehouse in super busy times and especially when key deadlines are approaching.
• Hold current forklift ticket, MR/HR truck license and experience (desirable for some roles, but not essential for general warehouse roles). 

• This is a short-term casual role based on site at Source SBG’s warehouse at Wulkuraka, QLD.
• Start dates will occur throughout November and December 2026 with most roles finishing up towards the end of January 2027. 
• Rostering aims for full shifts Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime if it is required during peak.
• Shift rosters are generally daytime shifts from 8am to 4pm, but can vary as the situation requires. 
• Salary will be paid by hourly rate as per the Storage Services and Wholesale Award.
• Culture and team fit will be an important determinant for us in recruiting for this role.
• There is a train station approx. 15 minutes’ walk from the warehouse, or you will require your own transport to be able to get to/from work.
• Must have full working rights in Australia to be considered.
