Warehouse Assistant - Casual

Position Overview

ANC is looking for dedicated and proactive Warehouse Assistant - casual for a PM shift to support our operations at our client’s site in Truganina, VIC.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work alongside our warehouse and delivery teams to help ensure smooth, safe, and efficient day-to-day operations. You’ll be assisting in pick packing, labelling and staging orders for delivery to ensure a smooth and efficient operation for our Delivery Professionals (contracted drivers).

What you’ll be doing

• Warehouse Operations: Receive, scan, sort, label, and stage goods accurately and efficiently.
• Support the Delivery Team: Assist Delivery Professionals with loading and returns processing, ensuring smooth handovers and high-quality service.
• Safety First: Operate machinery like pallet jacks and forklifts safely, follow site procedures, and report hazards, incidents, or near-misses.
• Stock Accuracy: Conduct handovers using audit checks, cross-check articles, and report damages or discrepancies promptly.
• Compliance: Keep the worksite clean, organised, and safe, while complying with ANC safety policy, PPE and uniform requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with your team, our client, and DPs to ensure operational success.

What are we looking for?

• Knowledge of transport loading procedures with the ability to load and unload safely
• Flexibility in your approach - our client operates 7 days a week
• Ability to operate a Pallet Jack
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of work
• A team player with great communication skills
• A can-do attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed
• Ability to use technology (Microsoft Office, scanning devices, freight management systems)
• Forklift license is highly desirable but not essential.
