More than a housekeeping role—mentor Indigenous staff, support community, and make a lasting impact in remote NT.
The Village Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming accommodation environment in a remote Indigenous community village. The accommodation site includes approximately 80 single donga-style rooms used for both staff accommodation and guest rooms, as well as shared facilities including gym, laundry and guest kitchen. Working alongside a small team of local Indigenous housekeepers, the Village Housekeeper will help ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene are consistently maintained across all accommodation and communal areas.
About You:
- Previous experience in similar housekeeping or cleaning roles
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with ability to train and mentor culturally diverse staff
Desirable:
- Chemical handling/storage certificate
- Cleaning / House Keeping certificate/s
- Experience working within indigenous communities
Essential Licences / Clearances
- National Police check (with assistance)
- NT Driver’s licence
- NLC Work & Residential permits (with assistance)

The Wadeye Community, (formerly Pt Keats) NT, is located in the Western Daly River region – an area rich in cultures, wildlife and ecosystems.
