The Role

Join HMR as an Underground Service Crew member on King Island and play a key role in keeping underground operations safe, efficient, and productive.

You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing underground services including water, air, pump lines, ventilation systems, and electrical and communication infrastructure.

This is a hands-on underground role where teamwork, skill, and attention to detail are essential. You’ll work alongside experienced operators in a supportive environment, with strong opportunities to develop your mining career.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and confidently in an underground mining environment
• Install, repair, and maintain:
• • Water, air, and pump lines
  • Underground ventilation systems
  • Electrical and communication services
• Assist with day-to-day underground operations
• Follow all site safety procedures and participate in toolbox talks and training
• Keep accurate records and coordinate with supervisors and engineers
  
  

Desirable Extras:

• Previous underground service crew experience
• Some Airleg experience is a bonus
• Strong knowledge of underground mining services (ventilation, dewatering, installations)

Qualifications / Requirements

• Strong knowledge of underground mining services (ventilation, dewatering, services installation)
• High regard for safety and teamwork
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening
• Police clearance within 6 months
