Our fabrication division is expanding, and we’re looking for Trades Assistants and Labourers to support our workshop teams across manufacturing and assembly.

We have multiple opportunities available across our Hume, ACT workshop. Early starts and early finishes mean your afternoons are free, with overtime available for those who want it.

This is a chance to build real skills, work alongside experienced tradespeople, and be part of a team producing high-quality fabricated components for major projects.

About the role

You’ll support tradespeople with day‑to‑day workshop tasks across our fabrication facility. Every day will bring variety, hands‑on work, and plenty of teamwork.

You can expect to:

• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for fabrication and assembly activities
• Assist with basic workshop tasks such as cleaning, grinding, and handling components
• Position and support parts during assembly, working under the direction of tradespeople
• Maintain clean, safe, ready‑to‑use work areas
• Operate and care for hand tools and equipment correctly
• Communicate professionally with employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
• Provide information for daily diaries and complete documentation as require
• Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately
• Assist with resolving onsite issues to keep work moving

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience in a workshop, fabrication, construction or labouring environment
• Ability to use hand tools and follow safe work practices
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• White Card, Silica Awareness and Asbestos Awareness (desirable)
• Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment medical assessment
• Permanent working rights in Australia
